Steve Scudder has a musical career spanning over 50 years. Growing up playing blues and rock, Steve was hungry for something a little more challenging. He started dabbling with jazz in his twenties after listening to Robben Ford and Pat Metheny. Their fusion of rock and jazz influenced his chops and he has been hooked ever since. He has played in the bands Stolen Moments, No Effects, and has been a member of the The Five Cities Five for the past 15 years. "The complexity and freedom of jazz keeps me musically satisfied. Playing with Jim in Two For The Road is a perfect place to be."
Jim "Stick" Miller has been a guitaraholic for almost 50 years. He has played in rock, blues, and country bands on the central coast since the '60's that include Lone Star, Country Pie, Apricot, The Pozo River Bottom Band, Flashback, and many others. His music muse has moved from those genres into jazz. "Playing with Steve has provided me with the opportunity to explore new styles like bebop, bossa nova, and swing, and musicians like Wes Montgomery, Charlie Christain, and Lee Ritenour. I hope Two For The Road can do the same for our audiences and acquaint them with those great songs from the '30's up through today. Sit back, relax, and enjoy."
